Karen Garcia Director
She has served as Director since 2014 and holds both a BA and MA in Psychology, along with extensive coursework in Child Development. Her background includes teaching preschool, managing youth development programs, and working in mental health and social services. These experiences shape her compassionate leadership and commitment to supporting children and families.
Zyntia Acosta Assistant Director
Zyntia has been part of the program since 2006 and brings experience across all age groups. She holds an Associate Degree in Child Development and incorporates project-based learning inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. She enjoys encouraging creativity through open-ended art and spending time with her family.

Ms. Angelica
Ms. Angelica is an experienced early childhood educator specializing in preschool and infant care. She creates engaging, play-based learning experiences that support each child’s unique strengths. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her husband Raul and their two sons.
Ms. Karen
Ms. Karen is a preschool teacher with over 20 years of experience in San Diego. She holds degrees in Child Development and Psychology and is passionate about creating a nurturing, play-based learning environment. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, concerts, and walking her dog Figgy.
Ms. Terry
Ms. Terry studied teacher education in Illinois and brings 20 years of design experience with companies like Crate & Barrel and Home Depot Expo. Since 2009, she has been dedicated to early childhood education, creating a nurturing and creative environment for young learners. Enjoys painting, sewing, and reading, and brings creativity into the classroom.
Ms. Conny
Ms. Conny has four years of hands-on experience working with children and began her journey at St. David’s Preschool, now Bay Park Academy, as a teacher aide. She is excited to step into her own classroom while continuing her education in Child Development. Ms. Conny enjoys reading, relaxing at home, and spending time with her Pomeranian, Polo.
Ms. Jan
Ms. Jan has over 15 years of experience as a preschool teacher and is passionate about helping young children learn and grow in a nurturing, structured environment. Ms. Jan studied early childhood education at Mesa College and is a proud mother of four and grandmother of three. A San Diego native, Ms. Jan enjoys gardening and traveling in her free time.
